THE DIFFERENCE

My ability to handle not only the legal aspects of a criminal case, but also the emotions that accompany it have served my clients well.

Being arrested and charged with a crime can cause embarrassment, depression, fearfulness, and escalates stress at home and at work.

I have eased this stress for clients by detailing exactly how the process works, possible outcomes, how a judge or prosecutor is likely to view a case, and by giving a clear picture of how a case will proceed.

Clients are kept informed of upcoming court hearings and what to expect when they appear in court. Clients do not like to be surprised and I try to alleviate the stress that comes along with the "not knowing."

My experience as a prosecutor gives me not only confidence in the courtroom, but the ability to appear before judges in many types of courtrooms, and see and understand a case from their perspective.

BACKGROUND

Jeff Robinson entered private practice in Fort Lauderdale in 2004 after working for four years as an assistant state attorney for the Broward County State Attorney's Office.

He has represented clients for an array of criminal offenses, including DUI, drug arrests, theft, violent crimes, violations of probation and domestic violence, as well as juvenile cases.

He has argued and defended pre-trial and post-trial motions, including motions to supress evidence, motions in limine, violations of probation, and downward departures. He has a thorough understanding of sentencing and alternative sentencing guidelines.

In addition to his criminal practice, Mr. Robinson has successfully represented clients in civil, dependency, and family law courts, including restraining orders, custody issues, domestic disputes, and divorce.

Having practiced law in South Florida since 2000, Mr. Robinson's in-depth knowledge of the local judicial systems is an advantage for clients facing criminal charges in local courts.

Mr. Robinson earned his juris doctorate degree from Stetson University College of Law in 2000, and an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Florida in 1997.

WHAT I EXPECT

Each client is different, so what I expect from you is different too.

I always expect that if I call you, you will return my call in a timely manner.

If I ask a question, I expect honesty. There is nothing worse than forwarding bad information to a prosecutor, only to find out it was wrong. It weakens your case.

Finally, there are no guarantees. I work hard for my clients and am prepared to assist them either through plea bargains or thorough and vigorous defense of their case before a judge and jury.

SERVING CLIENTS

My goal is to make the client look like an actual person rather than just a case number to a prosecutor or judge.
